password for chrisk

Hi, we\\\'re having some difficulty with Chris\\\'s password.

He tried to log in yesterday, numerous times, and couldn\\\'t get in.  He
very systematically went through checking caps lock, num lock, etc.
and carefully typed passwords several times while I watched to make
sure things were correct.  The system wouldn\\\'t log him on.  His
password meets the criteria.

I used Superuser to reset a password for him, then directed him to log
in and immediately reset his password.  I set it to grape.

Then Chris could log in.  But he couldn\\\'t change his password.  He used
the desktop icon and typed grape, then his old password twice.  It
wouldn\\\'t take the change.  It replies \"Invalid username or password\".  
I just checked with him and it does the same thing when he tries a 
completely new password, too.

Right now he can log in as chrisk, pw grape, and he can get into 
mulberry with his old password from before my change yesterday.  So 
it\'s working but goofy.
